ü  Chapter-15: Biodiversity and its Conservation
ü  Chapter-16: Environmental Issues
Should do self study on these chapters by reading thoroughly, making notes, framing questions and answering these.
There will be test of these two chapters on June 12, 2018 (Tuesday)

@ Practical (Internal or external): 30 Marks
ü  Practical classes will be held after completion of a theory chapter.
ü  Two practical record books will be issued;
Ø  one for spotting and
Ø  other for experiment
ü  Practical record books has to be checked regularly
Previously completed experiment/spotting should be checked and under signed in the index during the next practical classes. Accordingly, marks will be awarded, which will be added for ‘Record book marks’ in the SA practical examination. These marks may affect your CBSE AISSCE practical examination (External).

Tips for preparing CBSE Biology Board Examination (AISSCE)

  • Biology is a visual science. Pay attention to the figures (diagrams, charts, graphs, picture, tables). Study all the figures thoroughly with their discription. Pictures will say thousand words.
  • Study concepts along with examples if available.
  • Take advantage of end chapter summaries of your NCERT XI Biology textbook in addition to reading textbook.
  • Study latest CBSE sample papers of past 3-5 years.
  • Go through past 3-5 year's CBSE Board examination papers.
  • Study for half an hour and taking few minutes break
  • Write things out and learn by revealing concepts in outline or concept maps.
